The Reflective Mr. Rock, a Year of Culture, and Cool Street Food
What do these things have in common? They're all being featured at the TEDxCalgary City 2.0 event on October 13, 2012!
We're pleased to announce the first three of our speakers for this exciting half-day event...
Terry Rock - As President and CEO of the Calgary Arts Development Aurthority (CADA), Terry has been at the forefront of setting Calgary's cultural agenda for many years. He's just off a multi-month sabbatical where he got to relfectdeeply on where we've been and where we're headed as a cultural community, and will share his insights on arts, culture, and playing with public spaces.
Karen Ball - It's been an amazing year so far of events, initiatives, and ideas for Calgary 2012 and our spotlight as a cultural capital for the country. Meet the person who has been leading the amazingly innovative Calgary 2012 team, learn about the inspiration and hard work behind the events to date, and hear more about what they're up to!
James Boettcher - Remember when eating street food just wasn't all that hip? How things have changed, when we actually have an app to find Calgary's growing and ever-moving fleet of YYC Food Trucks. Apart from serving out some of the best gelato in town, you've got to meet the guy who's described as a "serial entrepreneur" and is leading the movement to reshape our views on eating out in public!
